Guys two uploads in one day

Shoot me please.

With great large fanbases, comes large responsiblity.

This is what I feel needs to be expressed, and I didn't spell check this, so just act like I spelled the words wrong because I'm really confounded.

After spending time around the internet, coming into contact with multiple different types of fanbases, I've decided that there is one thing that I hate more than anything else about certain kinds of fanbases. It's what their made of, the fans.

First off, let me express my ideas, pros and cons, of having large and small followings.

If a thing has a large fanbase, you will see a lot more pictures and entertaining snippits of things such as viral videos or memes being reproduced into that fanbase, which can give you laughs and generally brighten you're day. If you see your favorite character turned into one of your favorite memes, then that is really a worthwhile feeling and makes you happy, at least it does to me. Now with a small fanbase, you don't see as many pictures and such, but you still get them, and they are equally as amusing, perhaps even more, but a small fanbase also has it's own ups.

In a small fanbase, it's a lot more, homey. It's kind of like living in a suburb versus living in city. You feel like you know everybody and can relate better, because it's a feat of it's own to find someone else who likes the same thing as you. Also, fanart isn't usually overdone, whereas in a large fanbase, you have an abundance of pictures and memes, at a overwellming level. You are always bombarded with new things, and sometimes it is irritating to people not associated in that fanbase or people within that fanbase that, for lack of a better word, are 'hipsters.'

What are hipsters you may ask? Well in my advice I hope to give to you, hipsters are your veterans of the fanbase. The one's that have been there, as they like to say, 'before it was popular.' Let me pass on some extra advice, no one deserves to be a hipster. If you think you are a hipster, then you've already made the first mistake.

But that's besides the point, let me give you an example of my own. I consider myself to be in large and small fanbases. Some of my large fanbases include;
Hetalia
Homestuck
Minecraft

And some of my small fanbases;
Gosick
Umineko

There are a lot more, but for time sake, we will leave it at that.
I want to talk to you about fan's of Hetalia, since out of the ones up there, it's the one I've been in the longest. Hetalia is a very hard anime to not get pissed at the fanbase. Because it attracts many different people, it covers so much ground, it's always in you're face. Always. The fans are overwelmingly abnoxious, I'm sorry to say. Me and my friend just had a conversation about this the other day. We were talking about how we use to love it, and then the stereotypical thing to say came up.

The fans ruined it.

Now I hate this statement, how can you let someone else ruin something for you? I never liked this choice of wording because I never got it, until now. This is how fans can ruin it. By over-playing it. Hetalia's fans swarm over ever video they can get, every picture they see, and I am sure this isn't just done by Hetalia fans. It's also not everybody in the fanbase, but it's done by enough to be able to stick that generalization out there.

Point of the matter, when I watch a news video, or when I'm catching up on my video subscribtions, or trying to watch a nice funny video that's from -insert country here-, or try to learn about two countries relationships etcetc, I don't need a comment about Hetalia or Yaoi or your sick, sick little fettishes. Really. I was researching for my History class the relationship between NATO and the Russian Federation post-Cold War era, and I just, I don't need some sick pairing comment thrown at me tied to a cinderblock barely missing my face. BUT IT'S OK, because my facepalm definitally hit my face.

This doesn't seem to be the case within a small fanbase, if I see comments like that on videos that aren't associated with the show, game, movie, book, etc, then I laugh because it doesn't happen a lot. People who are new to a following may not get this as much, but when you've been in a large fanbase long enough you wish it was small, and visversa on a small fanbase. When you're new to a fanbase, you just swarm over everything, and you have a lack of respect for others outside the fanbase it seems.

You're a noob.

Now I got into Umineko much to my dismay, and it's a good graphic novel, anime, book thing. It doesn't have a very large fanbase but I've been hearing it's getting larger, and I have mixed feelings on this. Umineko is a story I'd much rather have put to a small fanbase, because it's hard to understand and I don't need little noobs hanging around it, but I'm probably still a noob. I don't care though. I don't really know about the GOSICK fanbase, because I don't follow it as much, but I just had to put it up there because
Kujo's face is awesome.

Homestuck is a fanbase I've just recently gotten part of, but I can already see it is has the horrendous possiabilies of becoming a sick deamon fanbase whoreing thing equivilent to Hetalia. I love Homestuck, and it's a good read. I don't care what anyone says, and if you can sit there reading a tl;dr story then that is a feat of it's own.

I put Minecraft up there because I watch a lot of Let's Plays. I hate when I'm watching Tobuscus noobing around in LA Noire and someone on the comments says that he should play Minecraft. I wouldn't annoy me as much, if it didn't happen to every person I watch. I also hate when the people who play Minecraft decide to also play another game and they get comments saying, 'Where's our Minecraft? I don't like this.' Some people just have a tough head. Terraria just came out, and if you don't know what it is, look it up. I love that game, but people just put it off as a rip off of Minecraft. Which I think is just tightening your own noose. If you like Minecraft, then I'm sure you will like Terraria, because it's in the same sandbox category. So don't put off a game if you'd like it just because it's different.

Anyway I'm not telling people to stop putting up fanart of Homestuck or Hetalia or Death Note or Wolves or anything else popular at the moment. I'm going to become a huge hypocrite and say that I don't mind having huge fandumps of things, but the point is that other people do and you should respect their opinions. It's not anyones fault if a lot of a single piece of fanart is on the front page.

MORAL OF STORY; Fan's of large fanbases, when you become a fan you have a great responsibility of not pissing of the elites of your base, and other bystanders around it. Please don't ruin other fanbases with your things, and don't spam dump fanart. Please be smart when uploading and downloading and speaking and writing. Respect those around you. Post funny snippets in groups ment for that or on videos or other pictures, and don't spread out. Respect that people won't like the same thing you do. If everyone liked the same thing, then we would all be boring. Oh and don't make everybody homosexual, but that's another story. Think before you act, because you don't want to risk throwing more cinderblocks at people and having facepalm combos. Remember, too much of something isn't always a good thing.

Oh and also, people not from the fandom need to lighten their hate, because it doesn't help to post about their deep passion for hating something. It goes both ways. If you don't like something, just plainly state you don't like it, you don't have to be like, 'Holy no way man that's the dumbest thing ever. I hate it so much I could kill myself every time I see something about it.'
